Eat & drink

Relaxed island dining, a daytime cafe and a fireside bar. All fictional, all granite and timber.

Fiction

The Lantern Room

GIRL's main restaurant: relaxed, high-quality island dining rather than white-tablecloth formality. The fictional kitchen leans on local and regional seafood, Victorian beef, seasonal produce and vegetables and herbs from the lodge's own kitchen garden.

Fiction

Keeper's Cafe

The brighter daytime counterpart: coffee and tea, breakfast, cakes and sandwiches, light lunches, and picnic provisions or takeaway to carry out onto the island. It shares the main lodge's kitchen.

Fiction

Keeper's Bar

Granite, timber, a fire and maritime charts on the wall. The bar is built for a southerly blowing outside: a short list of good drinks and somewhere warm to watch the weather. Not a cocktail lounge, not a pub.
