GIRL is a fictional resort on a real island. The lighthouse, the pink granite and the island photography are real. The lodge, its rooms and its history are invented, and shown as artist's impressions. The booking engine behind it is real, and you can try it.

Before you go any further

Gabo Island Resort Lodge is fictional. No real accommodation or transport is provided. Payments purchase a digital interactive experience and associated digital products. Gabo Island itself, its lighthouse and the photography presented as documentary imagery are real.

If you complete a booking, the only real charge is 1% of the fictional holiday value plus $5, for the digital booking experience. Payments are in Stripe test mode while we finish building.

The Granite Bath House

Gabo Island sits about 14 km from Mallacoota in far-east Victoria. Its lighthouse, built of the island's own pink granite and completed in 1862, is the second tallest in Australia.
